Bessie Marie Clayton Braswell, 83, of 369 Grantham School Road, died Monday.

The funeral will be held at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday at 7 p.m., with the Rev. Chris Watkins officiating. Burial will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Nahunta Cemetery.

Mrs. Braswell was a homemaker and attended Manley Grove Church.

She is survived by her husband, William Rudolph Braswell of the home; a daughter, Judy Price of Goldsboro; a son, William Thomas "Tom" Braswell of Fremont; and seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home following the service on Thursday night, and other times at the home of Tom and Virginia Braswell, 440 Pinkney Church Road.
