Harry Isaac Cohn, 65, died Wednesday in Greenbelt, Md.

Born in Guilford County, he was the son of the late Leo and Vera Merritt Cohn. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Goldsboro.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Glenn Phillips will officiate. Burial will follow in Willowdale Cemetery.

Mr. Cohn is survived by a son, Harry Jay Spurgeon of Boston, Mass.; an uncle, Harry Merritt of Raleigh; an aunt, Viola Merritt of Raleigh; cousins, Susan Merritt O'Brien, Jenny Louise Merritt, Colleen Merritt O'Brien and Nancy Neighbors, all of Raleigh, Jo Ellen Allen of Powell's Point, Georgia Rumage of Griffin, Ga., Lee Porter of Atlanta, Ga.; a very special friend and longtime companion, Beverly Harrington of Greenbelt, Md.

Family members will greet friends Tuesday morning from 10 until 11 a.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the First Baptist Church, 125 S. John St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530, or to the charity of one's choice.
