CURTIS EDWARDS

Nov. 14, 1924-July 3, 2006

Curtis Rudolph Edwards, 81, of LaGrange, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

He was a native of Roanoke Rapids and was the son of the late Joe Edwards and Iva Brewer Edwards. He retired from the Air Force as a chief master sergeant with 31 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Opal Logan Edwards, and is survived by one daughter, Velma "Ruth" Edwards of Goldsboro; two sisters, Doris Lewis and Lucille Weiss of Roanoke Rapids; one brother, Daniel Edwards of Roanoke Rapids; and one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held by the graveside today at 11 a.m. at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids, under the direction of Askew Funeral Service.
