Retired Technical Sergeant (United States Air Force) Richard Albert "Stan" Standriff, 71, of Woods Drive, Dudley, died Thursday at home.

Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Fu-neral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.

Mr. Standriff was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late George Beacon Standriff and Ruth Riechoff Standriff. Mr. Standriff was a decorated Vietnam War veteran with 21 years of service to his country in the United States Air Force. After retirement from the United States Air Force, he was a manager of Radio Shack and a contractor for American Parcel Service.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sue Standriff; two daughters, Patricia Standriff of Goldsboro and Karen Standriff Pohl and her husband, John Pohl III, of Newport News, Va.; one brother, Robert J. Standriff of Cincinnati, Oh.; four grandchildren, Amber Whitten Clifford and her husband, Thomas, of Wilmington, Kellie Schilling of Newport News, Va., Mark Schilling Jr. of Newport News, Va. and Tiffany Whitten of Goldsboro; and two great-grandchildren, Briana Schilling and Tristin Schilling of Newport News, Va.
