CALYPSO -- Kathryn Jeanette Gorham Cameron, 89, died Monday after a period of declining health.

Mrs. Came-ron was born in the township of Sullivan in Ashland, Ohio. She was the daughter of John D. Gorham and Myrtle Rouston Provines Gorham.

They moved to Miami, Fla., after Hurricane Hazel where they resided with their daughter until 1979, when they returned to the home place in Calypso. They divided their time between Florida and North Carolina until 1982 when Paul died on his way back from the beach, after 35 years of marriage. She continued to reside in Calypso until her death.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul Carroll Cameron of Calypso, and her brothers, Carlos and Lisle Gorham.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Ann Cameron; her granddaughter, Mary Kathryn Dallas Ferguson of Calypso; and a number of nieces and nephews.
