LLOYD B. BREWER III

MOUNT OLIVE -- Lloyd Bradford "L.B." Brewer III, 63, 206 Smith Chapel Road, died early Tuesday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home of Goldsboro with the Rev. Dick Lewis and the Rev. Patrick Muston officiating. Burial will be at Wayne Memorial Park.
Born in Sampson County, he was the son of the late Bradford and Ethel Sutton Brewer and brother of the late Gene Brewer.
He was the former owner of Brewer's Used Cars and Brewer's Stables. He was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and a former member of the Mount Olive Rescue Squad.
Mr. Brewer is survived by his wife, Gerry Whitfield Brewer; a son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Belinda Brewer of Mount Olive; a daughter, Becky Kelly of Goldsboro; three brothers, Jim Brewer, Brent Brewer and Phil Brewer of Mount Olive; a special sister-in-law, Jean Wells of Mount Olive; special caregivers, Brook and Teresa Grantham of Goldsboro; and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times will be at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Belinda Brewer, 490 Jim Best Road, Mount Olive.
