CHESTER L. EDGERTON

Died Dec. 27, 2006

SMITHFIELD -- Chester Lewis Edgerton, 77, 306 Smith St., died Wednesday at Johnston Memorial Hospital. He was born in Wilson County to the late Ada Yelverton.

Funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Springfield Baptist Church on Auburn-Knightdale Road, Raleigh. Burial will follow in St. Delight Cemetery in Walstonburg. The body may be viewed today from 2 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife, Minnie Edgerton of the home; three brothers, Joseph Edwards of Fort Washington, Md., James Edwards of Dudley, and William Edgerton of Richmond, Va.
