Died Feb. 22, 2007

Hester Pauline Greene, 90, 408 East Holly St., died Thursday at Britthaven of Goldsboro.

Funeral service will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, Highway 13, with the Rev. Larry Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Mill Cemetery.

Among her survivors is a son, the Rev. Dr. Sherwin Greene of Sanford, and other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be today from 2 to 8 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, Goldsboro, with the family receiving friends there from 7 to 8 p.m. The family will assemble at 420 Waters Circle, the home of Mrs. Ernest Waters, one hour prior to the service in preparation for the funeral procession.
