Died Feb. 17, 2009

FAISON -- Emma Mae Thompson, 77, 372 N. Fasion Ave., passed away Tuesday morning at her residence.

She will be eulogized Friday at 1 p.m. at First Assembly Church, with Pastor Ralph Painter officiating. She will be laid to rest in Wayne Memorial Park.

Precious memories are treasured by her daughters, Lila Franchewar of New Orleans, La., Jospehine Armwood of Goldsboro, Emma Thompson and Audrey Thompson of Faison, Patricia Smith of Turkey; four sons, Edwin Thompson of Fasion, Cifford Thompson of Columbia, S.C., James Thompson of Goldsboro and Victor Thompson of Mount Olive; siblings Willie Cobb of Dudley and Charlie Cobb, Elizabeth Cobb and Louise Cobb of Faison; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 6 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries of Goldsboro.

The family will receive friends at the residence, where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
