Deborah "Debby" Lynn Clayton, 56, 1098 Buck Swamp Road, died Wednesday at home.
Funeral services will be held tonight at 7 from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory with visitation immediately following the service. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Princeton.
Mrs. Clayton was born in Colorado Springs, Colo., Nov. 23, 1952.
She is survived by her mother, Nita Bowman Hooker of Wilmington; her husband, Robert E. Clayton; one son, John "Bobby" Robert Clayton and wife, Angela, of Rosewood; one daughter, Michelle Edwards of Goldsboro; one brother, Rodney Hooker and wife, Mary Pat, of Wilmington; one sister, Candice Fuller and husband, Matt, of Raleigh; and eight grandchildren, Brandon, Ashlee and Beth Davenport and Bailey, Christian, Reagan, Katie and Jonathan Clayton.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Bobby G. Hooker.
The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Michelle Edwards, 1088 Buck Swamp Road, in Goldsboro.
