Died Aug. 17, 2009

WARSAW -- Rosa Mae Magdeline "Maggie" Artis Williams, 98, 514 S. Gum St., died Monday at Carolina East Quinn Hospice Care Center in Kenansville.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Greenleaf Christian Church, 2110 N. William St., Goldsboro, with pastor Dexter Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Burial Garden in Wilson. A wake will be held Saturday from noon to 1 p.m.

Mrs. Williams is survived by six daughters, Marie Smith of Warsaw, Adell Batts of Wilson, Alene Carlton of Norfolk, Va., Edna Ruth Jones of Warsaw, Minnie Owens of Warsaw and Aldine Williams (John S. II) of Warsaw; one son, George Williams of Rocky Mount; 42 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren; 57 great-great-grandchildren; five great-great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel.
