MOUNT OLIVE -- Miss Ashley Victoria Cartwright, 19, 2120 Summerlin's Crossroads Road, died Monday in a motor vehicle accident.

A graduate of North Duplin High School, Ashley was an avid softball player, had been a member of the North Duplin chapter of the Future Farmers of America and sang in the North Duplin High School chorus.

She was very unique, had her own style and enjoyed horseback riding.

She was employed with Handy-Mart in Faison.

Ashley is survived by her parents, Billie Jo Brock Bizzell and Ricky Bizzell of the home; a brother, Rashad Brock of the home; a sister, Kayleisa Cartwright of the home; a special friend, Stephanie Holloman, and daughter, Alyana Holloman, also of the home; her grandmother, Inez Brock of Mount Olive; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services to celebrate Ashley's life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Tyndall Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bill Cotton officiating. Burial will be in Pate Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m., and at the home at other times.

Memorial gifts may be made to the North Duplin Booster Club.
