May 20, 1964-Nov. 1, 2010
When life's work has finished, death is as beautiful and as natural as the flowers that bloom in spring. On Nov. 1, 2010, Kathy LaFran Manuel slipped away into a heavenly rest at Regional Memorial Hospital in Richmond, Va. She was born May 20, 1964, to the late David Manuel Sr. and Margaret Edmunson Manuel in Goldsboro. She was the eighth twinkling star in the family of nine.
Services were held Saturday by E.M. Matthews Funeral Home.
She was a graduate of Goldsboro High School in 1982; she continued her educational journey through college by attending North Carolina Central University in Durham. Afterwards, she was employed with the O'Berry Center. She had a loving personality, generous heart and a sweet smile, which captured the heart of others easily. With this love and passion for life, she enjoyed working with preschool children, needlework and cooking.
She is preceded in death by her father, David Manuel and two brothers, Vincent Manuel and Michael Manuel.
