MOUNT OLIVE -- Francis Steele Sutton, 86, 207 E. Station St., passed away Saturday night at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

A service of remembrance will be held at Tyndall Funeral Home Tuesday at
11 a.m., with Rudy Oates and Horace Modlin presiding.

Friends and family are being received at the
residence.

Mr. Sutton was a World War II veteran of the United States Air Force.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Mount Olive, and was a retired automobile salesman.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores Minshew Sutton of the home; two sons, Larry Sutton and his wife, Dawn, of Raleigh and Neal Sutton of the home; two daughters, Gail S. Hinson of Dudley and Penny S. Pike of Garner; and a niece, Eileen Thompson.

He was preceded in death by a son, Alan Sutton; his parents, Thomas W. and Annie Johnston Sutton; a sister, Leona Gray; and a son-in-law, Ralph "Junior" Hinson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, Va., 23058; or a favorite charity.
