FAISON -- George Thomas "Tommy" Wilson, 72, Faison, passed away Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011, at Mount Olive Care and Rehabilitation.

Mr. Wilson was born Sept. 7, 1938, in Sampson County to the late Raymond H. and Annie Laurie Bell Wilson.

Mr. Wilson was owner of Wilson Well Drilling, a hog grower for Murphy-Brown and a turkey grower for Pestage Farms.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011, at Turkey Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens of Warsaw.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Community Funeral Home of Warsaw, and at other times at the home of Darlene and Donald James, 159 Jim Sauls Road in Warsaw, N.C.

Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Jean P. Wilson of the home; sons, Terry Wilson and wife, Rose, of Coates and Rodney Wilson and wife, Christy, of Benson; a daughter, Darlene W. James and husband, Donald, of Warsaw; a sister, Joyce Andrews and husband, Melvin, of Faison; and grandchildren, Jessica James, Matthew Wilson, Chelsey Wilson, Travis Wilson, Corey Wilson and Abbey Wilson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Turkey Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, P.O. Box 72, Turkey, N.C., 28393.
