Wilma Thames McVickers, 85, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Moore County to the late Walter and Mabel McCloud Thames, and was married to the late Bruce W. Files and Clarence McVickers.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Thunder Swamp Pentecostal Holiness Church, with the Rev. Vance Harrell officiating.

The family will be receiving friends immediately following the service.

She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Bruce W. Files Jr. of Kenansville and Joe and Anita Files of Fayetteville; three daughters and son-in-law, Linda Adelstein of Houston, Texas, Judy Files of Mount Olive and Mary and Keith Harrell of Mount Olive; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
