MACK HARVEL PRIVOTT

Mack Harvel Privott, 81, passed away Monday, Dec. 16, 2013, at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family.
Mack was born in Chowan County Nov. 18, 1932, to the late George H. and Eva Harrell Privott.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Mack was a graduate of Guilford College, where he was a standout athlete in football and baseball.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and youth leader, and was a member of the Lola Delbridge Sunday School Class.
Mack was a contractor in Wayne County, and was the founder of Privott and Gray Appraisal.
An avid sports fan, Mack taught math and science, as well as coached, at Goldsboro Junior High School.
Mack lived a life of dedication to his family and friends, and to his community. He served his community in many ways, from working on the board and coaching at the Wayne County Boy's Club to being a member of the Optimist Club, Rotary Club of Goldsboro and Golden K Kiwanis Club.
Mack also loved the many opportunities he had to mentor young people at church, school and boys club.
He also enjoyed spending time at the beach home he proudly built for his family.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in the fellowship hall of First Baptist Church, followed by a service celebrating Mack's life at 2 p.m. in the sanctuary, with Dr. Glenn Phillips officiating. Interment will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
Mack is survived by his wife of 58 years, Emily Warrick Privott; daughters, Edie Jeziorski and husband, Michael, of Acworth, Ga., and Jenny Bunn and husband, Kevin, of Fayetteville; sons, Michael Privott and wife, Maryclair, of Mooresville, Allan Privott and wife, Michele, of Mooresville and Ben Privott of Wilmington; grandchildren, John Jeziorski, Will Jeziorski, Kait Jeziorski, Hilary Bunn, Graham Bunn, Noah Privott, Georgia Privott, Mack Privott and Tighe Privott; and sister, Marjorie Taylor of Lakewood, Fla.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Wilkins, and brothers, Joe Privott and Jack Privott.
