<p><em>Died Aug. 26, 2008</em>
</p>

<p>Maxine Vail Holloman, 78, 2335 Old Smithfield Road, passed away on Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. 
</p>

<p>Funeral services will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. K.L. Buffalo and the Rev. Percy Coleman officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Burial will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park, Goldsboro. Other times, the family will receive friends at her home. 
</p>

<p>Maxine was the daughter of Clarence and Lila Hinnant Vail of Pikeville. 
</p>

<p>She is survived by her son, Bruce, and wife, Beth Chestnut Holloman, of Princeton; her brother, Edward, and wife, Betty, of Garner, and her brother, Jimmy, of Pikeville; her grandchildren, Brett Holloman, of Greenville, Becky Holloman of Rosewood, and Bethany and Blake Holloman of Princeton; her sister-in-law, Zillia Mae Holloman Fail of Goldsboro, and brother-in-law, Ransom Holloman Jr. of Goldsboro; and numerous nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren, and a special niece, Pam Hill of Goldsboro. 
</p>

<p>She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, A.B. Holloman, and her daughter, Pattie Holloman. 
</p>

<p>Maxine was a member of Antioch Presbyterian Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher, piano player, and a member of the Women in the Church.  She retired from General Electric and was member of the TOM "Twenty or More" Club. She cherished her many friends of Swan Quarter, N.C. 
</p>

<p>In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Antioch Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 2306 Old Smithfield Road, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530. 
</p>

<p>Her family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Dalton Dove for his outstanding care and compassion during this difficult time.
</p>

<p>Mr. Williford was born in Wayne County on June 10, 1945 to the late Bill and Mollie Williford.
</p>

<p>He is survived by his wife, Deborah Williford; one son, Vernon Williford and his wife, Leslie, of Seven Springs; two brothers, Jimmy Williford of Mount Olive and Earl Williford and his wife, Shirley, of Goldsboro; four grandchildren, V. Jr., Harley, Cody and Christina Williford.
</p>

<p>In addition to his parents, Mr. Williford was preceded in death by one son, Lathan Eugene Williford.
</p>

<p>The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the residence, 5413 Barber Road in Seven Springs.
</p>
