Hawks, Panthers battle to 2-2 draw

BEAULAVILLE -- North Lenoir's Haley Bright and Katy Maloney scored one goal each as the Hawks opened their season with a 2-2 tie at East Duplin on Monday.
The Panthers scored within the first three minutes, before Bright equalized the game at the 23-minute mark on an assist from Elizabeth Foye. Foye also assisted on Maloney's goal in the second half.
North Lenoir (0-0-1) returns to action Friday at Wilson Beddingfield.
