Sasser, Davis two-hit Rams

PIKEVILLE -- Charles B. Aycock's Grant Sasser and Garrett Davis combined on a two-hit, five-inning shutout as the Falcons (2-0) claimed a 10-0 win at home over Greene Central on Wednesday.
Sasser pitched the first three, yielding one hit and striking out six before Davis finished the game by striking out the side in two innings of relief.
Davis also paced the Golden Falcons at the plate with two hits, while Sasser and Aaron Cline each doubled.
Lance Murray and Josh Elmore had one hit each for Greene Central (1-3), who hosts Kinston on March 15.
Aycock travels to county-rival Southern Wayne on March 16.
