Golf -- Greene Central claims non-league tilt

FARMVILLE -- Colby Murphrey and Daniel Creech each shot an 83 and shared medalist honors as Greene Central cruised past Wilson Beddingfield and Farmville Central in a non-conference match Thursday at the Farmville Country Club.
The Rams carded a four-player total of 351, compared to 381 for the Bruins. The host Jaguars scored 390.
Brandon Jones and Blake Sutton added rounds of 86 and 99 for the Rams.
E.J. Davis led Beddingfield with a 90.
Coleman Gilbert paced the Jaguars with a 95.
Greene Central (3-1) travels to Happy Valley in Wilson next Monday for their first Eastern Plains 2-A Conference match of the season.
