Soccer -- Panthers settle for fourth place

FOUR OAKS -- Courtney Purdy tallied a goal in each half as West Johnston blanked North Johnston 3-0 in the consolation championship of the inaugural Four Oaks Cup contested at South Johnston High School.
Jessica Swanson added the other goal for West Johnston.
North Johnston keeper Allison Hinnant, a sophomore, recorded six saves.
The Panthers fell to 3-5 overall.
