Softball -- Jaguars cruise past Greene Central

SNOW HILL -- Farmville Central scored in every inning but one and claimed an 8-4, non-conference win against Greene Central at the James R. Fulghum Athletic Complex.
After building a 4-0 lead after four innings, Farmville earned the eventual game-winning run in the fifth. Kristy Willson walked, stole second and scored when Erica Taylor reached on an error.
Greene Central (2-3) tried to rally, scoring three in the bottom of the inning. Morgan Albritton and Cassie Webb both walked and scored when Elizabeth Cooper doubled. Cooper came around on an error on the play.
Greene Central visits Ayden-Grifton next Tuesday.
Farmville Central hosts North Johnston on Tuesday.
