Walnut Creek Ladies Golf

The Walnut Creek Ladies Golf Association will kick off the 2004 golf season on March 30 with a business luncheon at noon at the Walnut Creek Country Club. Items to be discussed include Tuesday playdays and tournament schedules. Association dues will also be collected. Members are asked to call Jewel Ivey at 778-2465 by Friday for reservations.
Several Walnut Creek ladies played in the recent East Carolina league meet at Birchwood Country Club in Nashville. Linda Cannon was the lone winner from Walnut Creek, taking first low net honors in the third flight. The next league meet will be held at the New Bern Country Club and registration will be held for this meet until April 2.
