Baseball -- JV Saints win on road

MOREHEAD CITY -- Southern Wayne's Willie Koerning scored three runs and drove in a run with a double to help guide the Saints to a 6-2 win at West Carteret on Tuesday.
The win boosted the Saints to 4-3 overall and 3-1in the Class 3-A Eastern Carolina Conference heading into Friday's home game against Washington.
Justin Williams and Jeremy Hargrove drove in two runs each for the Saints, who were also aided by some clutch defense.
Williams picked up the win, tossing four innings and striking out three.
