Spring Creek drops Carolina 1-A battle

FARMVILLE -- Spring Creek's Jes Snyder and Josh Lewis had two hits each, but Farmville Central posted a three-run sixth on its way to a 6-5 win at home over Spring Creek.
The Jaguars' Jared Beddard slapped a game-tying double in the sixth, while Cody Fuquay followed with a single that scored him
Farmville was led by Tommy Cobb, who earned the win, while also collecting two hits at the plate. Matt Vandiford finished 3-for-3 for Farmville Central, while Brad Bagley was 2-for-4.
Spring Creek's Randy Amos picked up the loss.
Farmville Central (4-5, 2-1 Carolina 1-A) will play at North Duplin Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. The Gators look to bounce back on Tuesday at Ayden-Grifton.
