In Sunday's News-Argus article on the All-Area basketball team, we accidentally left out Goldsboro High School's Ray Brinson as an honorable mention selection.
In an article on coach of the year selectee Michael Olliver, we incorrectly stated that Southern Wayne beat Kinston in the Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference tournament. Kinston played Goldsboro in the conference tournament, a game in which the Cougars gave Kinston coach Wells Gulledge his only home loss as Vikings' coach. Southern Wayne went on to beat Goldsboro in the conference tournament semifinals the next night.
