Soccer -- Eagles bounce back on road

PINETOPS -- Rosewood bounced off of a difficult 5-1 loss on Monday at home to North Lenoir by cruising past SouthWest Edgecombe 7-1 on Wednesday at the Cougars' field.
The win improves the Eagles (8-2) overall to 4-1 in the Classes 2-A Eastern Plains/1-A Carolina/Super-Six heading into tonight's home match with Tarboro at 6 p.m.
Stephanie Behrend dished out five assists, while Erin Thibodeau scored four goals Wednesday, three coming on assists from Behrend.
Behrend added a goal, while Thibodeau posted an assist.
Kerry Garner added two goals and one assist.
Rosewood led 3-0 at halftime.
