Softball -- Late error helps Fike

WILSON -- An outfield error led to two unearned runs and helped Wilson Fike escape Greene Central 3-0 in a non-conference battle Wednesday afternoon.
The teams battled to a scoreless tie through 51Ú2 innings before the Golden Demons struck in the sixth. The error led to two runs and then a base hit plated a third run.
Rams hurler Cassie Webb endured the pitching loss in relief of starter Brittany Leggett.
Amber Oakes had Greene Central's lone hit.
The Rams (2-5) open their Eastern Plains 2-A Conference schedule Friday afternoon at North Pitt.
