Golf -- Eagles stay unbeaten

FAYETTEVILLE -- Wayne Christian remained unbeaten after knocking off Village Christian and Cary Christian in a Carolina Christian 1-A Conference tri-match at Cypress Lakes Country Club.
Jonathan Greene emerged the medalist with a nine-hole total of 35 as the Eagles fired a four-player total of 160 compared to 191 for Village Christian. Cary Christian fired a 223.
Chad Smith followed Greene with a 41. Teammates Eric Williams and Andrew Radford each shot a 42. Matt Davis and Clark Rose also participated in the meet.
Wayne Christian (10-0, 3-0 CCC) entertains Fayetteville Christian next Monday afternoon at Walnut Creek.
