Baseball -- Hawks open EPC play with win

DEEP RUN -- North Lenoir used a four-run sixth inning to turn the game around and beat South Lenoir 6-3 in their Eastern Plains 2-A Conference opener on the Blue Devils' diamond.
Shane Harris went the distance and got the win for North Lenoir, striking out six while going 2-for-3 from the plate.
Paul Novicki endured the loss for the Blue Devils (5-5, 0-1) after five innings of work.
The Hawks (7-6, 1-0) will travel to Greene Central next Tuesday.
