JV baseball -- CBA blanks Warriors

PIKEVILLE -- Charles B. Aycock won its eighth game in nine outings after beating Eastern Wayne 9-0 Friday night.
Garrett Davis went four innings and got the win, striking out six and giving up one hit. Brandon Price and Brandon Edgerton both pitched hitless innings for the Falcons (8-1, 5-1).
From the plate, Davis was 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles, while Cortez Gilbert and Bradley Taylor hit home runs for Aycock Chris King and Grant Sasser both had doubles.
Aycock plays at Washington Tuesday, then travels to D.H. Conley on Wednesday.
