HOLLY RIDGE -- North Duplin posted a season-high for hits with 14 but couldn't hold off Holly Ridge Dixon, who claimed an 8-7 win at home on Monday in eight innings.

The Rebels (0-12) were led by Staci Faulk with two hits, including a triple and a home run, and three RBI. Erica Lane added three hits, while Ronda Jordan added two hits, including a triple.

North Duplin rallied for four runs in the seventh, but the Bulldogs answered with four in the bottom of the seventh and the game-winner in the eighth.

Casey Pate picked up the loss for the Rebels, who were plagued by seven errors in the game.
