Baseball -- Panthers' Scott one-hits Hawks

BETHEL -- North Pitt's Brandon Scott tossed a complete game one-hitter as the Panthers defeated North Lenoir 5-1 at home on Thursday.
Scott finished with six strikeouts against two walks with one unearned run, while helping his cause at the plate with a solo home run.
Brian Smith had the only hit for the Hawks (8-6), who dropped to 2-1 in the Eastern Plains 2-A Conference.
Shane Harris went the distance for North Lenoir, yielding four hits with six strikeouts.
North Lenoir returns to action at Charles B. Aycock tonight at 7 p.m.
