Baseball -- South Central tops Goldsboro

WINTERVILLE -- South Central exploded offensively Friday, and the result was a 25-1 defeat of Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference foe Goldsboro.
The Falcons pounded out 17 hits to gain the victory. Matt Scoggin, Brandon Brown, Jon Allen Conway and Zack Bieber each had two hits to pace South Central.
South Central (12-7,10-3 ECC) plays again Tuesday at Kinston.
Goldsboro (1-18, 0-13 ECC) hosts Eastern Wayne on Tuesday.
