JV baseball -- Davis strong for Aycock

PIKEVILLE -- Garrett Davis struck out 14 hitters as Charles B. Aycock beat West Craven 8-1 Friday. The win avenges the Golden Falcons' only loss of the year.
Davis allowed four hits and three walks in a complete-game effort for Aycock (18-1, 9-1). Bradley Taylor hit a home run and Grant Sasser went 2-for-3 to pace the offense.
Aycock plays again on Tuesday at West Carteret.
