PIKEVILLE -- Charles B. Aycock's April Vick had two hits, including an RBI as the Golden Falcons blanked West Carteret 10-0 at home on Tuesday.
The win was Aycock's 25th straight in the Class 3-A Eastern Carolina Conference as it looks to improve its unblemished 11-0 conference mark on Friday at South Central.
Junior fireballer Jenny Jackson (15-0) struck out 13 Patriots against no walks and gave up just three hits in six innings of work. Jackson helped her cause with two RBI.
Kandace Burroughs, Jennifer Williamson, Ashley Morris, Brittan Edgerton all drove in one run each for Aycock (17-0 overall), who is currently ranked second in the latest 3-A ihigh.com coaches/media softball poll.
