LAGRANGE -- Randi Moulton emerged the Hawks' top hitter and Morgan Worthington threw a no-hitter as North Lenoir dispatched Tarboro 10-0 in the Eastern Plains 2-A regular-season finale for both teams Tuesday.
The Hawks wrapped up their third straight EPC title in perfect fashion with a 10-0 record. They extended their EPC win streak to 30 games and begin league tournament play as the No. 1 seed Saturday at Tarboro.
Tarboro finished winless in the EPC.
Moulton batted 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Brittany Sanders provided a double and two RBI in one plate appearance, while Denise Pope doubled in two at-bats.
Worthington recorded nine strikeouts and yielded a pair of walks in the contest shortened to five innings due to the 10-run mercy rule. She also added a double and plated two runs in a 1-for-3 offensive effort.
North Lenoir is 20-2 overall.
