Post 11 Junior Legion doubles up Ahoskie

DUDLEY -- Wayne County moved to 3-1 on the Junior American Legion season after beating Ahoskie 12-6 Thursday on the Southern Wayne High School diamond.
Justin Williams got the win for Wayne County, with Evan Cavanaugh throwing two innings of relief. Austin hood stole three bases and scored three times to pace Wayne County, while Joseph Davis went 2-for-2 with a pair of RBI and Joey Moye picked up a hit.
Wayne County will take on Northern Durham on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the opening game of the Fuquay-Varina Junior Legion tournament.
