Rain stops Post 11 yet again

MOUNT OLIVE -- Wayne County's Senior American Legion team's scheduled Area One East/South Division tilt with New Bern Monday night at Scarborough Field was canceled due to wet field conditions.

The game has been rescheduled to July 8 at 7 p.m.

The cancellation marked Post 11's fourth in a six days.

Wayne County returns to action tonight at home for a non-division contest against Beaufort County. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Snow Hill -- Fuquay-Varina also canceled

SNOW HILL -- Snow Hill's Senior American Legion non-division contest at home on Tuesday with Fuquay-Varina was canceled due to rain and will not be rescheduled.

Post 94 returns to Area One East/South Division play at home on Wednesday at 7 p.m. against Pitt County Post 160.
