Jr Legion -- Elmore turns in solid effort for Snow Hill

SNOW HILL -- Josh Elmore yielded three hits in a four-inning stint as Snow Hill dumped Tri-County East 9-2 in an American Junior Legion baseball game Tuesday evening at Greene Central High School.
Elmore recorded one strikeout and allowed four walks for Snow Hill, which improved to 9-6 overall and 5-2 in division play. Hunter Chase threw the final three innings.
Drew Sowers and Craig Taylor paced Snow Hill's offense with two hits, including a double, and three RBI apiece. Richie Turner batted 2-for-3, while Trey Beaman chipped in two hits and an RBI.
Snow Hill travels to Wayne County today. Game time is 7 p.m. at the Doyle Whitfield Athletic Complex diamond on the Southern Wayne campus in Dudley.
