JACKSONVILLE -- Eastern Wayne committed eight turnovers and struggled with first-game jitters in a non-conference loss Thursday evening against the host Cardinals.
Andrew Blevins, Brandon Maye and David White each accounted for a touchdown for the Warriors. Blevins finished with 136 yards rushing on 13 attempts, while Maye had seven totes for 61 yards.
White caught the TD pass from quarterback Anthony O'tellio, who was 1-for-1 for the game.
Eastern Wayne (0-1) entertains Havelock next Thursday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Little Big Horn.
