Volleyball -- Goldsboro takes conference loss

Visiting West Craven swept Goldsboro 25-17, 25-14, 25-20 in an Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference match Thursday afternoon.
First-year Cougars coach Ronnie McClary said his leading players were Ashelyn James, Tiffany Burden and Camille Early.
Goldsboro (0-2, 0-2 ECC) is the guest of James Kenan next Monday afternoon.
