Volleyball -- Kenan sweep past Jones Senior

TRENTON -- Alisha Taber played a strong net game as James Kenan knocked off Jones Senior 25-8, 25-14, 25-17 in a non-conference match Thursday afternoon.
Caroline Moore and Hannah Adams each turned in a solid serving performance for the Tigers, who evened their worksheet at 2-2 overall. They continue play at home Monday against Goldsboro High.
"We focus on teamwork and it seems to be paying off," first-year Kenan coach Regina Myers said. "The Jones Senior team did a great job rallying the ball."

TRENTON -- Matesha Jones and Hannah Adams each served the ball well as James Kenan stopped Jones Senior 25-11, 25-10 in a non-conference match Thursday afternoon.
"Excellent serves," said Tigers coach Regina Myers. "We have been working on our serves in practice. The overall teamwork was outstanding."
