Prep volleyball -- Spring Creek falls to Midway

SPIVEYS CORNER -- Spring Creek's Courtney Oxendine had nine kills as the Gators fell 24-26, 25-9, 22-25, 25-13, 15-6 in five sets to Midway on Monday.
The loss drops the Gators to 1-3 overall as they travel today to North Duplin for their Class 1-A Carolina Conference opener.
Tomeka Pride added seven kills for the Gators, while Margo Sauter served on 12 points and Mallory Albertson dished out 10 assists.
