Prep volleyball -- Princeton stays unbeaten in Carolina 1-A

PRINCETON -- Princeton's Kristen Parker served up 11 aces as the Bulldogs improved to 3-0 in the Class 1-A Carolina Conference with a nail-biting, 25-20, 25-13, 25-27, 17-25, 15-10 win over North Duplin at home.
Sarah Gibbs added five kills and one block for Princeton, while Nicole Hargis had four aces, six kills and one block. Kortnie Yutzy provided three aces for the Bulldogs, who host Smithfield-Selma today.
Bethany Malcom had a season-high 18 kills for the Rebels, while serving on 16 points with three aces. Sierra Ward added season highs in kills (nine) and blocks (six).
North Duplin entertains Ayden-Grifton on Thursday.
