Prep tennis -- Hawks sweep doubles matches

KINSTON -- North Lenoir swept all three doubles matches against SouthWest Edgecombe and came away with a 6-3 win on Wednesday.
The win improves the Hawks (5-4 overall) to 4-3 in the Classes 2-A/1-A Eastern Plains/Carolina Conference.
North Lenoir got singles wins from Morgan Worthington, Ruthanne Hardy and Rachel Sasser. In doubles, the combinations of Worthington-Hardy, Mary Linton Smith-Sasser and Ashley Fillipeli and Madison Gray secured the win.
The Hawks travel to Greene Central today.
