Volleyball -- North Duplin drops Carolina 1-A match

CALYPSO -- North Duplin's Sierra Ward had 10 kills, three aces and served on 12 points in the Rebels' 25-23, 23-25, 26-24, 25-23 loss to Ayden-Grifton on Thursday.
The loss drops North Duplin to 3-4 overall and 1-3 in the Class 1-A Carolina Conference heading into Tuesday's match at home against Farmville Central.
Emily Deibert added eight kills and served on 14 points for North Duplin, while Bethany Malcolm provided six kills and served on 15 points.
