James Kenan sweeps Wallace-Rose Hill
WARSAW -- Despite the windy conditions and intermittent rain showers, James Kenan swept the singles and doubles matches in a 9-0 victory against county rival Wallace-Rose Hill on Tuesday.
"The winds were a little tough today, which posed problems for both teams," Kenan coach Chip Hardy said. "At times, when the ball was tossed for the serve, the wind would blow it away but as the match played on, the winds finally calmed down."
Christa Jones, Allison Fonvielle, Erica Brown, Beth Parrish, Brittany Crabtree and Meagan Sanderlin each claimed a singles win for the Tigers. Sanderlin, the No. 6 seed, shut out her opponent while Brown lost just one game at No. 3.
