Six players collected two hits apiece as Faith Christian hammered Trinity Christian-Greenville 12-3 in a N.C. Christian Schools Association contest.
John Spencer doubled and slapped a fourth-inning grand slam home run -- his first of the season. Stephen Sloan, T.J. Sasser, Ryan Riley, Allen Ray Darby and Justin Spencer each turned in two-hit efforts as the Conquerors claimed their first victory of the season.
Riley also doubled in his three plate appearances.
Darby emerged the winning pitcher, striking out seven and allowing four hits in a four-inning stint. Josh Brannan and Sasser combined for three innings of six-strikeout relief.
Faith Christian (1-3, 1-2 NCCSA) continues play April 4 at Berean Christian in Fayetteville. Tuesday's non-NCCSA contest against Liberty of Durham has been canceled.
